Positions Summary:

Hub Financial, Canada’s largest Life Insurance Managing General Agency, supports Life Insurance, Investment, and Mutual Fund Advisors across Canada.  The successful candidate will have a high level of customer service, can multitask, and is looking for a challenging role.   The candidate will report to the Director, Business Services, and will be working in our Business Process Improvement department, responsible for the following:

  • Participate in the prioritization, development testing, and delivery of system enhancements and upgrades
  • Contribute to the development of specific requirements such as reporting and system functionality may be required
 
  • Documenting business requirements, functional specifications, and timelines for business analysis deliverables

  • Developing test strategies, plans, and cases to ensure a quality product is delivered that meets business requirements

  • Familiar with industry organizations and standards – CLIEDIS and Fundserv

  • Assist in identifying and resolving user needs, business issues, and requirements on a regular basis using basic research, analytical, and problem solving skills

  • Report status and issues to the Director, Business Services, and may, with supervision, coordinate and communicate with end users, staff, and vendors

  • Analyze reported issues and test to confirm

  • Liaise with Bluesun and other third parties to resolve technical issues


Qualifications & Experience:

  • Background in administration in Mutual Fund Dealership, Investments and Life insurance is a definite asset

  • Experience with Wealthserv Investments and/or Wealthserv Insurance a definite asset

  • Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills

  • Ability to probe and define root cause

  • Big picture thinking with the ability to drive out system enhancement to benefit overall efficiencies

  • Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail

  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills

  • Experience in project management is a definite asset

  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to work with others in a team environment

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – advanced proficiency in MSOffice specifically (Visio, Excel, Powerpoint, Word)

  • Great attitude with exceptional customer service skills. 

  • Effective written and oral communication skills are essential
