Senior Bonus Underwriter - Commercial Lines

Senior Bonus Underwriter is required for one of our large National Insurance Company clients for their  Vancouver Office.

This position will service a substantial portfolio of small commercial accounts, requiring demonstrated underwriting abilities and a commitment to customer service excellence.

Responsibilities: What would I do on the job?
-Assess and evaluate risk of new/existing business on complex cases.
-Analyze reports to determine exposure and loss ratings.
-Determine all risks to which insured may be exposed.
-Establish premiums for assigned accounts.
-Maintain awareness of market trends, price levels and legal requirements.
-Assist with training/seminars.
-Work with brokers to develop business.

Experience Required: Do I have what it takes?
-6-8 years commercial underwriting experience - all lines
-Ability to manage and service a substantial portfolio of small to mid-size commercial accounts.
-Good problem solving skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Good computer skills, knowledge of Word and the Teleglobe System.
-Strong organizational and administrative skills
-Ability to work without supervision
-Completion or near completion of CIP designation.
