Intermediate - Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter

INTERMEDIATE - SENIOR COMMERCIAL LINES UNDERWRITER

LARGE NATIONAL INSURANCE COMPANY in downtown Vancouver requires an Intermediate to Senior Commercial Lines Underwriter, super opportunity if you are interested in relocating and have previous commercial underwriting experience.

This position will service a substantial portfolio of commercial property and casualty business requiring a demonstrated underwriting ability and a commitment to customer service excellent.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the retention of existing business, acquisition of new business and the achievement of profit goals in order to meet corporate objectives.

Skills required:

-Must have 3 to 5 years underwriting experience
-Excellent computer skills
-Excellent communication skills
-Strong negotiation skills
-Ability to meet challenging deadlines, organizational skills
-Knowledge of Teleglobe/RTM an asset
-Must be personable and a team player

The minimum education requirement for this position is a community college or University degree, CIP, FCIP or working towards.
