| Job Description |
To ensure the timely disposition of entry level auto and trucking claims as assigned. This involves the timely, accurate and fair adjudication of new and existing claims including coverage analysis and investigation, with the purpose of achieving settlements on both indemnity and expenses, while providing superior customer service.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
·Investigates, analyzes, evaluates and concludes assigned claims in accordance with best practices and applicable account claim service bulletins
·Participates in the development of strategy, coverage evaluation, reserve and settlement calculations
·Recommends and maintains appropriate reserves
·Manages vendors (independent adjusters, lawyers, engineers, and other experts) and their involvement in claims through ensuring their compliance with established agreements
·Exercises file control including form completion, proper written communication with both management and outside parties, and file documentation to support file disposition
·Identifies and actively pursues subrogation, salvage, and deductible recoveries
·Participates in internal and external training/educational programs to enhance professional skills and expertise.
·Provides monthly activity reporting, or as required by management
·Maintains a high level of customer service
Requirements:
·University degree or college diploma
·CIP accreditation or currently enrolled
·3-5 years claims experience
·PC skills including word processing, spreadsheets and internet applications
·Familiarity with litigation process and claims in suit
·Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
·Efficient, courteous, and professional
·Ability to function well in pressure situations
·Organized, self-motivated and results oriented
·Works with minimal supervision
