Job Number: IW-LAU-949
Our client is a third party administrator in the west end of Toronto. This position will have the suitable bilingual candidate talking to clients who have questions or concerns regarding their health and dental benefits benefits coverage. Past experience dealing with Quebec customers is mandatory as is articulate English.

Reporting to the Team Leader, the incumbent responds to all telephone calls for extended health and dental benefits, including eligibility for such coverage; communicates with clients and a variety of internal and external professionals.

The individual must be able to work within a team environment with little supervision; identify priorities and adapt well to change. The individual must work well under pressure, and must be willing to work overtime on occasion.

Qualifications:

 Post Secondary degree/diploma or equivalent with related experience
 Superior telephone communication skills in English. Bilingual communication skills in English and French are required.
 Must demonstrate excellent customer service skills, be team oriented and cooperative with co-workers, consultants and departments.
 Must have a minimum of 2 years progressive experience in Health & Dental Claims examination or administration.
 Knowledge of and hands-on experience using Windows and Microsoft Office technology, with basic to intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel.
 Must have good keyboarding skills and the aptitude to learn company database.
 Ability to work well under pressure, meet deadlines and departmental standards.
 Ability to perform mathematical calculations for the purpose of calculating benefits.
 Demonstrated flair for detail; highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
 Strong organizational and time management skills.
 Self motivated and able to work well with minimal supervision.

After a pre-determined training period, candidate will need to be flexible on hours of work (8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 11:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m.) No weekend work is required.
