Underwriting Support Manager

Reporting to the Director of Operations within a National Insurance Company, the Underwriting Support Manager is accountable for leading and managing staff in day-to-day operations. You will oversee the effective operation of the unit by coordinating and enhancing workflow and operational procedures, as well as coaching and mentoring the team.

What you bring to this role:

Proven leadership abilities – coach, mentor and develop a group of employees at various skill levels

Ability to work collaboratively with direct reports and colleagues, creating a results driven and team oriented environment

MUST have 5 years+ experience in the insurance industry, specifically in P&C

Proven ability to develop and lead continuous improvement initiatives related to quality and delivery of service levels 

Self-starter with excellent organizational, time management and project management discipline to coordinate multiple concurrent efforts 

Demonstrated communication and influencing skills along with analytical and problem-solving skills 

Post secondary education. Completion of CIP, or in progress an asset.
