As the Manager, Recovery Services, you will provide leadership and direction to a team of frontline leaders to ensure the success of the overall operations of the Injury Services Recovery Team. Your established partnerships in the treatment and healthcare industries will enable you to evolve business practices and service delivery to injured customers across the province. Your ability to lead and motivate a team of frontline Managers and Recovery Benefit Coordinators is imperative in supporting customers through their treatment and rehabilitation with a caring and responsive approach. You will also be able to collaborate effectively and influence leaders and decision makers across the organization to meet the operations requirements and deliver on the business plan.
Your responsibilities will include:
Participating in the transformation of recovery services design and delivery, with the development and implementation of policies and procedures to deliver improved Accident Benefits to injured customers. This will include knowledge of (industry, customer and stakeholder) best practices, relevant legislation, regulations and legal precedents to improve Accident Benefit claims handling for injured customers.
Providing leadership and technical direction to an existing team of Managers and Benefit coordinators within the area of complex accident benefit claims.
Developing and maintaining business relationships with a variety of stakeholders and business partners to introduce improvements in service delivery to the catastrophically injured.
Interviewing and screening medical/rehabilitative service providers to support strategic procurement and to ensure vendor conduct principles are delivered.
Investigating, assessing risks and providing direction on protecting the Corporation’s rights of recovery on complex subrogation claims.
Providing strong leadership and maintaining standards of performance of the team by delivering on customer service, quality assurance and productivity results.
Your proven leadership, communication skills and knowledge of disability management practices will prove essential as you work with your Injury Services Recovery Team to support customers through their recovery.
Successful applicants should have most/many of these qualifications:
Demonstrated people leadership experience.
Established interpersonal interactions within the healthcare industry.
Strong customer service principles (with customers, stakeholders, treatment providers, clinic administrators).
Proven experience as a change leader and innovator.
Relevant case management and recovery experience or experience in a treatment and/or healthcare environment.
Accident benefits/disability management experience.
Knowledge of medical terminology , anatomy/physiology, and the various medical disciplines.
Awareness of best-practices in injury recovery and rehabilitation.
A Degree in Nursing, Kinesiology, Medicine or similar
