Our client is one of the largest National employee-owned and operated insurance brokerages in Canada. They provide a complete range of commercial insurance products, risk management and employee benefits services to all industry sectors across Canada and in over 100 countries around the world.
Act as point of contact for new client claims, gathering important information and documentation to provide to the insurer.
Liaise between the client and insurer in resolving claims
Interact extensively with various parties involved in the claim process.
Conduct analysis of claims and coverage and recommend solutions to coverage issues.
Negotiate payments and reimbursements on the client’s behalf
Collaborate with the team on resolving difficult files and scenarios
Assist in the mentorship and guidance of junior employees.
Provide timely updates to clients on claim status or any other important information.
Build relationships with external stakeholders such as adjusters, insurance companies, and other valuable vendors.

Minimum of 3 years in handling claims
Ability to work in a team environment, but also autonomously as needed.
Ability to think critically and solve problems
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written

Knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
Insurance license, or ability to obtain quickly, a major asset
