Job Description

Our client is a fast-growing brokerage, looking for a full-time Service Broker to join the team. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work individually and in a team environment.

*Primary Responsibilities:*  

•    Provide advice and support based on your insurance knowledge to clients in an effective and timely manner

•    Manage the renewal process including preparing renewal proposals and binders

•    Remarket accounts as required

•    Prepare appropriate documentation for change requests, complete applications as necessary and issue insurance certificates

•    Manage the administration of 3rd party financed premiums and accounts receivable for agency bill policies

•    Submit and follow up on claims

•    Contact underwriters to discuss and negotiate policy terms for purposes of quotations, renewals and endorsements

•    Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of company underwriting guidelines

•    Provide outstanding client service in a professional manner at all times

*Qualifications and Experience:*

•    Minimum of two (2) years of insurance experience within a brokerage servicing Farm, Commercial and Personal accounts

•    RIBO license is required

•    Experience with TAM and Applied Rating Services as well as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•    Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

•    Proven interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with team members for problem-solving

•    Solid understanding of policy wordings and coverages

•    University degree/college diploma or equivalent business experience

•    CAIB, CIP and or CRM would be an asset
