Job Description

The Commercial Lines Technical Assistant will be responsible for the mid-term changes to the accounts as well as the preparation and issuance of Certificates of insurance and Liability slips. The role requires the TSR to assist the Account Manager in with the delivery of seamless service to the clients.

Title: Commercial Lines Technical Assistant (programs)

Location: Oakville

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of Documents
  • Update underwriting information on TAM in a timely and efficient manner
  • Prepare pre-renewal client material
  • Arrange insurance binders & liability certificates
  • Issue certificates of insurance
  • Organize premium financing quotes &contracts
  • Help to reconcile Program Accounts
  • Help to create and maintain bordereaux for Programs
  • Respond to client inquiries & requests in a timely and efficient manner, providing unrivalled customer service
  • Maintain and update underwriting information on a consistent basis, ensuring all information is accurate
  • Provide back-up assistance for main Reception
  • Develop relationships and correspond with commercial insurance underwriters
  • Actively participate in continued learning programs or training
  • Perform other specific duties or functions, as required
  • Assist with receivables


  • Must be RIBO licensed
  • Minimum 1 year of commercial insurance experience
  • TAM experience is preferred
  • Good MS Office skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Enjoy working as part of a team with a positive attitude
  • Good communications skills
