Build and maintain strong relationships with the markets

Provide advice and knowledge to junior employees.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of key personnel, trends, and pricing within the Canadian insurance market

Work with internal staff and clients to successfully coordinate the placement of Accounts

Provide excellent customer service to partners and coworkers in order to maintain long-term growth and retention

Negotiate pricing, policy conditions and terms with underwriters and reviews all quotations with recommendations as to the best options for price, coverage and risk alternatives

Analyze and review proposals with the Account Executives and make recommendations regarding the risk for the most cost effective and proper insurance coverage.  


Active Level 2 license

CAIB or CIP designation an asset

2-5 years of insurance experience. Experience in commercial lines an asset and will consider those with personal lines experience

Experience with marketing and dealing directly with underwriters

Enjoys working in a collaborative and team based environment

Strong negotiation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple files simultaneously

Goal-oriented and highly motivated and resourceful to achieve results
