HUB Financial has a dynamic leadership opportunity for a Regional Vice President, Ontario based out of our Woodbridge Head Office. The RVP’s focus is managing the sales teams in the Ontario Region with the focus on developing a strong advisor team driving growth and profitability. The RVP will recruit new advisors, coach, motivate and develop advisors, identify opportunities to leverage and market the Masterworks program and any cross-selling opportunities while being actively involved in key relationships with larger producers. This is an ideal role for an individual who is a passionate leader with a sales and operations background with a strong entrepreneurial approach. Job Responsibilities

  • Developing business through securing and developing broker relationships, recruiting new brokers and Associate General Agent (AGA) contracts

  • Strong planning and execution of Ontario’s new business revenue objectives through effective deployment of available resources

  • Building, creating and developing a strong regional sales team comprised of Regional Directors, Brokerage Development Specialists and Sales Assistants so as to fulfil production objectives and carry out sales plans and activities.

  • Coaching, mentoring and developing the sales team.

  • Implementing a strong talent plan to ensure sufficient resources are deployed in the region and providing leadership guidance to the Regional Directors around talent management.

  • Strong forecasting and planning efforts to execute effective sales activities for the region in accordance with national sales agenda and corporate objectives.

  • Ensuring consistency of the deployment of sales activities, seminars, communications, events etc.

  • Accountable for regional production as per budgets and objectives, and to address shortfalls and strategies to combat shortfalls.

  • Hosting regional events, speaking at public seminars and forums, act as the HUB Financial corporate ambassador representing the company in official capacity at regional events.

  • Leading meetings with sales teams, ensuring team is held accountable for implementation of market allowance and goal based sales activities.

  • Visiting remote sales centres on a regular basis to review sales team performance and activity with the Regional Directors

  • Promoting recruitment amongst the assigned sales team and advisor base.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Business Administration/Commerce

  • 5-10 years’ experience in the life insurance industry in a management position with a carrier or a Sales Manager in a brokerage firm)

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to diverse audiences (written, verbal and presentations).

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively, utilizing good time management skills.

  • Strong business acumen:planning, forecasting and implementation of plans

  • Previous people leadership experience of sales/marketing teams dispersed across Ontario

  • CFP Designation or CSC Designation or in progress

  • IFIC, CIM, OPD designations an asset

  • Strong sales and new business development planning experience

  • Strong established networks in the life insurance and investment industry.
