Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Branch Manager, the Insurance Representative/Investment Advisor analyzes clients' financial records, sets goals and develops a financial strategy.  She/he promotes and provides financial services to current and former Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, and their families.  She/he provides information concerning insurance plans, benefits and other policy features.  She/he completes Insurance Needs Analysis, if required, to enrol members in a SISIP Financial product to commensurate with needs.  She/he generates awareness of SISIP Financial, its mission, services, policies and procedures.



Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, or a related field, AND some years of experience in financial services


College diploma or certificate in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics or a related field, AND several years of experience in financial services


A demonstrated equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.  This includes but it not limited to demonstrated military education, training or experience


License for the sale of life insurance (Ontario)

License for the sale of mutual funds (Ontario)

Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation, an asset

Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), an asset


Language requirement:  Bilingual Essential 

Second Official Language Proficiency (English or French)

Reading Comprehension


Written expression


Oral interaction


Level: N/A(No proficiency), 1(Basic), 2(Functional), 3(Advanced), 4(Professional)


Experience Requirements:

  • In the provision of financial and investment services
  • In building long term relationships with clients
  • In organizing and delivering presentations to large audiences
  • In the provision of life and disability insurance services
  • In making assessments and referrals to other professionals

Salary: $65,550 - $77,130 per annum, plus an annual Employee Incentive Plan
