SGI CANADA, is hiring an Intermediate Underwriter (Commercial Property) to join our regional office in Edmonton. As a key player on our underwriting team, you’ll help shape SGI CANADA’s one view of commercial property underwriting that combines product, technology and services for our Alberta broker partners. Brokers are our focus and you know what you need to do to build those relationships and make doing business with SGI CANADA easy for them. They’ll be counting on you for support in growing a profitable book of business. You’ll support a sales culture by being a touch point for our broker partners.

Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity — after all, we’re counting on you. We are looking for candidates who have a CIP or a diploma in insurance or risk management. Candidates should have at least 5 years’ underwriting experience. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
