Private Client Group is a division of NFP Property and Casualty. The Private Client Group Account Manager is a critical member working with other team members to provide sales support for the acquisition of new customers including underwriting, pricing and proposal preparation. This role will allow a successful candidate the potential to evolve into a lead role in the Private Client Group team.  The ideal candidate is self-motivated, proactive, and client-focused intent on providing exceptional day-to-day service to maintain and exceed the reputation and service standards of Dalton Timmis and PBL Insurance, a subsidiary of NFP.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as a primary contact with regards to account administration and day-to-day inquiries in a courteous and professional manner, while exercising discretion
  • Builds and maintains excellent working relationships with co-workers and underwriters
  • Provides accurate quotes to prospects/clients and attempting to secure all lines of business
  • Prepare and maintain sales materials, including presentations, proposals, and submissions
  • Develop a limited number of relationships and ability to work independently on assigned accounts
  • Attend outside meetings with potential clients, marketing partners, client groups and insurance carriers
  • May be expected to manage a book of business with no difficulty in addition to contributing to the sales effort of the office

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Post-secondary education, or related job experience is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience in Pesonal Lines
  • Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (RIBO) license required
  • Experience with dealing with major markets:  Chubb, Ovation, GCNA and Northbridge
  • Highly professional, well respected, self-motivated and high achievers in the industry
  • Strong verbal skills and precision in the written word is expected
  • Strong team player—ability to adapt to and collaborate with various team members and individuals
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team-based environment
  • Good judgment coupled with the ability to set clear expectations and make sound decisions
  • Self-starter with strong negotiation skills
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, TAM, industry software and rating engines
