Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales and business development efforts in the assigned territory ;
  • Create, manage and execute targeted programs to generate new revenue;
  • Grow presence in the marketplace by participating and taking a leadership role in industry; events, conferences and other relationship-building opportunities;
  • Develop differentiated and compelling communication material;
  • Effectively deliver dynamic presentations to groups of decision makers;
  • Build and manage a funnel of target prospects from large and medium sized enterprises;
  • Qualify and prioritize leads; identify key decision makers, develop tailored strategies based on a knowledge of the dynamics within each prospect organization, and determine whether there is available budget;
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team of business development and client service professionals to ensure optimal coordination for client pursuits;
  • Negotiate and execute contract;

 

Qualities and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive sales and client development experience with a proven ability to grow revenue of a new product in the group insurance, health and wellness benefits and/or HR solutions space;
  • Large enterprise client development and relationship management experience;
  • Sensitivity to the dynamics of relationships between insurance carriers, benefits consultants, and insurance industry channel partners such as brokers third party administrators;
  • Capability of adapting business development strategies to fast-evolving market trends and company goals;
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment;
