Director of Financial Reporting

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer

Brief Overview of Responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall financial operations of the Company
  • Providing financial direction to Senior Management and the Board
  • Managing the company’s accounting functions and the day-to-day operations
  • Technical expert for the Company, partnering with operational managers to provide guidance and decisions on accounting treatment for various issues
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting under IFRS including presentation of results to all stakeholders
  • Establish a framework for developing plans and objectives, budgets and capital management forecasting that will support the organization's future direction, tactical and strategic initiatives as outlined in the strategic plan

Core Requirements:

  • Professional Accounting Designation
  • Minimum of 8+ years successfully leading, managing and developing a team; analytical mind with a strategic ability
  • Minimum of 10 years of P&C Insurance finance experience with progressive responsibility
  • Strong understanding of IFRS requirements relative to financial services including IFRS17
  • Demonstrative competence in various technology applications
