Commercial Lines Account Manager  

Position Overview:  

BST Insurance Brokers is a well-established and highly respected insurance brokerage firm in Pickering Ontario. Our team is committed to providing personalized insurance products and risk management services to our clients. We are currently seeking a first-class Commercial Lines Account Manager to join our service team and family.  We offer a casual working environment and a competitive compensation model. 

 Responsibilities: 

    • Maintain and manage all aspects of an existing commercial book of business which will also include cross referenced high net worth personal insurance accounts
    • Ensure retention targets are met
    • Continuously develop and maintain internal and external relationships
    • Cross-selling other insurance lines and financial products
    • Seek out New Business sales opportunities
    • Upsell existing coverage features and effectively educate our clients and prospects
    • Renewal/Policy Review/ risk management – to identify adequate coverage is in place
    • Respond to all customer inquiries by delivering exceptional customer service standards whether verbal and written
    • Review monthly result report including receivables, production and expiry
    • Engage in a high level of collective thinking and teamwork

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • University Graduate
  • Minimum 3 years’ commercial experience in the Insurance industry
  • High level of commercial insurance coverage and policy wording knowledge for mid-size/complex commercial accounts
  • RIBO licensed
  • Ability to market commercial risks with confidence
  • Maintain and develop relationships
  • Knowledge of high net worth clientele expectation
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Effective organizational skills and time management
  • Exceptional professional interpersonal skills both verbal and written
  • Fluent in English
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word and Excel)
  • Experience with Power Broker an Asset
