Job Description

GroupSimple, a valued partner of GroupHEALTH, is currently looking for LLQP licensed Group Benefits Advisors to join their team in Surrey, BC. 

Benefit Advisors are responsible for conducting group benefit meetings with qualified prospects to consultatively determine if solutions from GroupHEALTH are right to help redefine their employee benefit programs. They will deliver initial meetings, gather required plan data, conduct proposal meetings and ultimately convert prospects to clients through proper execution of a proven sales process developed by GroupSimple and GroupHEALTH

First 30 Days

  • GroupHEALTH New Business Development Department (NBD) immersion 
  • Learn Benefits Landscape in Canada
  • Learn NBD playbook, sales methodology
  • Perform a series of job shadows in department to understand role requirements, IT systems, customer approaches and telephone selling
  • Book benefit meetings for GroupSimple to deliver GroupHEALTH Solutions
  • Meet with key GroupHEALTH Executives and Leaders
  • Transition to GroupSimple
  • Shadow Benefit meetings with GroupSimple Principal
  • Learn the GroupSimple sales process, scripting and value proposition
  • Learn CRM and Systems process for GroupSimple

First 60 Days

  • Conduct first benefit meetings with shadow by GroupSimple Principal
  • Gather Census Data packages
  • Close first new business
  • Learn sales life cycle and deal forecasting
  • Learn Underwriting Fundamentals and plan design
  • Develop confidence to independently and accurately use CRM and Sales systems

First 90 Days

  • Pass 90 Day Probation
  • Attend GroupHEALTH Advisor/Partner Bootcamp
  • Close first 3 new deals
  • Demonstrate competency to independently deliver prospect meetings
  • Determine and define deliverables and expectations for next 90 days



In addition to joining a passionate and high energy team, your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Initiate consultative discussions with business owners, executive directors and senior managers of organizations across Canada (10-300 employees) 
  • Gather customer data for analysis
  • Conduct proposal delivery meetings and convert prospects to clients through proper execution of a proven Sales Process
  • Track all prospect interactions and data in our CRM system 
  • Track sales life-cycle and forecast 
  • Ramp up and consistently achieve assigned quotas
  • Actively participate in regular sales meetings and sales training 

 

Education and Experience 

  • Provincial LLQP licensed attained
  • Post-secondary education or requisite sales experience in workforce
  • Prior experience working in environments with established processes and procedures
