Title: Manager, Property Field Claims

Location: Ontario, Work from Home


  • Supports the development and delivery of the operating plan for a team of property field adjusters handling commercial and personal claims to achieve the overall department strategy adhere to guidelines along with Aviva Brand Values
  • Build an environment for people to do the best work and develop a stronger team through coaching and mentoring staff in their current role and for future career aspirations
  • Leverage data to monitor and take action as required on performance, efficiency, quality, capacity and service levels
  • Collaborates with multiple business partners including fraud, subrogation, liability and vendor management
  • Address customer concerns using strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Look for new and incremental ways to improve things every day for the customer
  • Communicate effectively with confidence, curiosity, courage and in a collaborative manner to create a clear vision of the outcomes we require and how our people will contribute to achieve those
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors
  • Participate in special projects as required


  • University degree/college diploma, CIP or equivalent work experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience as a property claim adjuster
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills
  • Ability to drive engagement through coaching, mentoring and development of staff
  • Must continually be looking to improve their own skills and encourage the team to do the same
  • Proven experience of leading through change is a huge plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Travel to meet with direct reports is required on occasion
