1. Job Summary
Reporting to the Manager, Claims Services, the incumbent provides administration and adjusting support to the Claims Services Unit.

2. Unit Mandate
The Claims Services Unit handles all commercial insurance claims.

3. Job Activities/Tasks
? Update and maintain various software programs, websites and files associated with the Unit’s products
? Review and verify claims and reserve information for accuracy and authorization
? Process paperwork associated with claim approval and denial process
? Assist with regulatory filing by preparing reconciliations, reports, etc.
? Interact with consultants and various suppliers relating to the Unit’s products
? Act as the customer service representative by providing product knowledge and expertise for products delivered by the Unit
? Process claims in a timely, professional and efficient manner including analyzing, investigating and payment on files
? Participate in policy coverage and liability discussions
? Investigate and evaluates incidents that may lead to claims and provides settlement recommendations
? Perform field adjusting as required
? Respond to Subscriber inquiries on coverage and policy provisions with respect to status of claims or any other inquires
? Establish good working relationships with Subscribers to ensure excellent customer service and efficient management of claims
? Complet IBC reporting
? Other duties as assigned

4. Educational Requirements
? College diploma
? 2 years insurance industry experience including basic claims adjusting knowledge
? Completed some CIP courses a strong asset

5. Skills, Knowledge, Experience
? Strong database and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite)
? Exceptional customer service skills
? Excellent time management and organizational skills
? Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
? Motivated, high energy team player

6. Working Conditions
? Professional office environment
? Some overtime required
