Job Description

Our client is a renowned and award winning international brokerage seeking a Senior Marketer to join the team.  This is a fabulous opportunity to join a busy and high performing team and a distinguished brand.  The real estate division is rapidly growing and this person will be instrumental in helping build an innovative, client-focused approach and culture. 

 

Ideally you have a strong understanding of the insurance marketplace and will be able to build and maintain good working relationships with insurance carriers. Due to Covid, this position will be currently working from home, with the potential to continue to work from home 1-2 days a week after covid. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinate, plan and develop marketing initiatives for clients

  • Negotiate terms for new business, renewals and mid-term changes with insurance carriers

  • Gather and organize the information provided by Account Executives, Producers, internet and other sources to facilitate the renewal and new business submissions

  • Reviews the expiry lists in advance to gather and confirm information

  • Provide recommendations on ongoing coverage enhancements

  • Analyze and Review policy wordings to ensure the proper coverages are in place

  • Ongoing monitoring of the insurance marketplace. Maintains a current database of changing company "appetites"

  • Ensure there are no gaps in coverage for clients

  • Other duties & responsibilities as required

 

Requirements:

  • Strong technical knowledge and experience working with and interpreting insurance policies

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Ability to work in a team based environment as well as independently

  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment

  • A Level 2 General Insurance License

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of experience in Commercial, Real Estate or Underwriting divisions

  • A recognized industry certification (CAIB, CIP, CRM, BCIT Risk Management, etc.) preferred but not required
