Through personalized and local service, BCM offers quality insurance products for home, farm, automobile and commercial through experienced insurance professionals.


We are currently looking to fill the role of a Sales Representative at our head office in Welland. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and prospective policy holders, while delivering exceptional customer service. The objective of this position is to act as an advisor to current and future policy holders, while growing a book of business through referrals, networking, and prospecting.   • Develop and maintain strong relationships with policy holders
  • Manage leads and provide quotes to prospective clients in a timely manner
  • Recommend coverages based on individual customer needs
  • Identify and cater to clients’ changing insurance demands
  • Adhere to underwriting criteria set out by company
  • Grow and develop a book of business through ongoing prospecting and referrals
  • Ongoing commitment to expand your insurance industry knowledge
  • Adherence to developed Standard Operating Procedures and Guidelines.
  • Work in a collaborative team environment with all BCM departments.




  • Seeking a long term career in the insurance industry
  • Proven effectiveness in past sales roles
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Perseverance to meet retention and growth goals
  • Very strong organizational skills
  • Proven self starter, motivation to grow and develop
  • Insurance experience considered an asset




  • Post secondary degree considered an asset
  • OTL or RIBO license considered an asset
  • CAIB, CIP, CRM or similar designations considered an asset




  • Full time position
  • Highly competitive salary guaranteed for first 2 years as you establish and grow your book of business. Thereafter, switching to commission pay structure with new business bonuses/renewal commission
