Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Commercial Insurance, the Senior Account Executive is accountable for servicing the Large Business Unit (LBU) book of business from their headquarters in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador. The primary focus of this exciting leadership position is to continue the demonstrated value proposition and the culture of trust, dependability and partnership that Cal LeGrow is recognized for in the market. Responsibilities include gathering and documenting relevant information with respect to the renewal process to ensure clients receive the appropriate terms of coverage and service. The incumbent will also build and maintain excellent customer relationships through day-to-day servicing of clients.
The Senior Account Executive is part of a highly competitive group who excels at providing an exceptional client experience. The incumbent will be a collaborative communicator with the ability to coordinate with other organizational teams to deliver solutions. This role will also keep abreast of market knowledge, products, pricing issues, competitors and opportunities, along with preparing proposals, and arranging for account placement with the insurance carriers. Focused on constantly looking for better ways to run the business and continuous improvement, the Senior Account Executive will support the sales team to help meet performance targets while ensuring Cal LeGrow has tools and processes to achieve plans and overall business strategy.
As the ideal candidate, you possess a minimum of five years’ commercial insurance sales experience with knowledge of insurance broker management systems. You ideally have post-secondary education with one or more of CIP, FCIP, CAIB or CCIB, and are proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software. You are a self-starter who works efficiently under pressure with experience managing large account portfolios. The ability to maintain good quality in the book of business by adhering to underwriting rules and good business practices is essential. You are highly organized, solution and detail oriented, and able to prioritize. Excellent customer service and project management skills are key to success in this role. With exceptional interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, you possess strong business acumen and are highly analytical by nature.
