Personal Lines Damage Broker (Courtier ou courtière en assurance dommages, assurance des particuliers)


What You’ll Do

• Meeting and/or exceeding individual sales targets as well as department goals

• Preparing documentation for prospects: complete applications for, issue insurance certificates, and set application for processing

• Maintaining professional and collaborative relationships with key underwriters

• Resolving any concerns with a professional demeanour by leveraging product and service knowledge

• Servicing existing accounts or quoting new prospects using Applied Rating Services or Company Portals

• Representing the brokerage at industry functions when required

• Keeping current on industry changes, underwriting rules and workflow processes

• Actively participate in training initiatives


What You Bring

• Typically, more than 4 years of industry and/or personal lines experience – preferably with broad market portal experience (Aviva, Economical, L’Unique, etc.)

• Proven experience working managing a high volume of clients (alpha split and/or one & done)

• Passion for customer service and sales; committed to delivering a top-notch client experience

• Strong team player—Ability to adapt to and collaborate with various team members and individuals

• Strong oral and written communications skills including the ability to communicate clearly and explain complex insurance subjects in both official languages (French and English)

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced & demanding environment while keeping customer service a priority

• Self-managing with strong analytical, organizational and time management skills

• Excellent computer skills expected including fluency in Broker management systems – EPIC & ARS fluency are an asset


Certificates, Licenses, Registration

• Personal Lines Damage Insurance License in good standing required (FR: Permis d’assurance dommages en assurance des particuliers)

• Professional insurance designation an asset (such as CAIB, CIP, CRM, etc.)
