HUB International continues to grow and we are seeking a strong customer focused Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic Operations team based in our St. Catharines HUB office. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Administration & Office Services with a dotted lined reporting into Commercial and Personal Lines Managers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist brokers with administrative duties including special short and long term projects 
  • Trouble-shooting technical issues (telephone, computer, office equipment) 
  • Create power point presentations for conferences and meetings as required
  • Assist Commercial Lines IBU team
  • create letters for renewal with current information and email to clients
  • Support as required
  • Support Commercial Lines Investment Programs Team:
  • gather information from clients via email, forward return emails to Aviva underwriting
  • correct premium and issue renewals, invoice, contact insured & additional interests
  • issue new business, create policy enclosure letter and forward to client
  • Receivables - Contact commercial lines clients for follow-up on accounts receivable and advise commercial lines account manager
  • Support both PL and CL with EZ Docs processing
  • Back-up to reception, including Banking & Deposits as required (over lunch hour, vacation and sick days)
  • Any other duties that may be assigned

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • RIBO Licensed preferred
  • Insurance experience an asset
  • Superior interpersonal skills; must possess a positive attitude and be a team player
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills
  • Detail oriented; ability to manage time efficiently and effectively while multi-tasking
  • Strong computer skills (keyboarding/MS Office) required
  • Strong team player and ability to work independently
  • Ability to exercise initiative and follow up skills
  • Some client travel may be required
