Saskatchewan Mutual Insurance Company (SMI) is a federally regulated property and casualty insurance company operating successfully in Saskatchewan, Alberta and Manitoba.  As a mutual, the Company’s Policyholders shape the future of the organization through participation in the selection of the Board of Directors that oversee and govern the organization.  Earnings are reinvested into the communities served and help keep insurance rates low for its policyholders.

The Associate Vice President, Marketing brings superior customer-focused leadership to the team as evidenced in an innovative mindset related to corporate level marketing, branding, sales and distribution activities. The perfect fit will demonstrate a passion for market analysis, product research, business development and performance monitoring aligned with corporate goals and objectives. This position serves as an empowered decision maker on the senior management team and contributes to the development of corporate strategy, policy and future planning.

The Associate Vice President, Marketing will look to enhance a culture of inclusion, growth and originality driven by organizational goals and values. They will seek stakeholder feedback to make a difference in an industry poised for significant change. The incumbent should have a superior ability to anticipate future trends and consequences accurately, and create competitive, unique, and ground-breaking strategic plans that leverage a combination of technology, data, and innovation.

The successful candidate will hold an undergraduate marketing or business degree (or equivalent).  Additionally, the incumbent should have at least 7 years of experience in a similar role (insurance experience would be considered an asset), including at least 3 years of progressive leadership experience.
