INSURANCE BROKER CSR - has an immediate opening for an experienced Personal Lines RIBO Licenced CSR.


We are a well-established brokerage located in the heart of downtown Brampton with over 90+ years in the industry, providing practical insurance solutions for our clients. We are seeking a sales driven experienced insurance broker to identify and generate new insurance sales opportunities. Every day you will be building lasting relationships with our customers, helping to protect what matters most to them.

Job Description

• Manage an assigned personal lines book of business
• Prospecting, growing, marketing, and developing your client list & book of business
• Identifying our clients insurance needs
• Providing expertise, guidance, and solutions for clients regarding their insurance needs
• Provide quotes for new and existing clients, review and process renewals and endorsements
• Collecting necessary information to provide competitive insurance quotes for customers with varying circumstances
• Prepare and present quotes to clients in a professional manner
• Develop new client base from prospecting, referrals and leads provided
• Maintain complete and detailed file notes for all classes of business
• Maximize growth and client retention through superior customer service
• Support new customers by offering recommendations for products and services required
• Navigate multiple insurance partner online portals to complete customer applications
• Quote new business
• Communicate with insurance company Underwriters to ensure evolving guidelines are met
• Continuous self-development, through industry and community involvement, and industry related courses
• The ability to communicate professionally in person, over the phone, in written format and through email
• Experience managing a book of business or relatable work experience


Candidate Requirements

• RIBO License, 2+ yrs
• Preferably have knowledge, and previous experience with Applied Systems / TAM, which include Applied Rating Systems (Compu-Quote)
• A strong work ethic, good listening skills and a co-operative team player
• Motivated to succeed by a "Go-getter" positive attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Detail oriented with superb listening skills, to identify customer insurance needs
• Excellent documentation, sttention to detail and work flow procedures in a paperless environment
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Effective time management skills
• Organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and follow-up on uncompleted tasks in a timely manner
• Able to work in a “paperless” environment
• Self-starter and team player
• Ability to Support Teammates & Expedite Tasks
• Desire to build lasting relationships with clients and insurance company partners
• Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in the face of adversity

Education and Experience
• RIBO Licensed with 2+ years experience.

 

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Position

Salary: $45,000-$65,000 per year (depending on candidates experience)
Salary is based on work experience within the insurance brokerage field and length of time RIBO licensed.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm
