Our client, a renowned Insurance Brokerage, is looking for an energetic and result oriented person to join their Marketing Team. 

We are looking for someone to add value to our successful company. 

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategy marketing plans for the group of companies. Including budgets, digital and print media buys that support the key initiatives of the four group companies.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing integrated marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Responsible for the forecasting of marketing budget requirements for the year, accountable for tracking and reporting.
  • Oversee and manage the various websites in conjunction with outsourced resources for monthly maintenance and programming support.  Update pages, write and publish blog content. Work with IT resources to ensure security and integrity of websites.
  • Manage and develop the resources of Pathway Port – a funnel marketing and retention system.
  • Develop content strategy for each company and develop content calendars to support business goals.
  • Develop creative campaign brief with the intent of acquiring customers and raising brand awareness across web and social channels. Typically, includes creative campaign concept, objectives, expected outcomes, target audience, key messages, and acquisition strategy etc.
  • Conduct audits and analyses for market research, brand positioning, digital marketing analysis, and media planning.
  • Track performance on a regular basis and assess against KPIs and ROI’s making recommendations to optimize. Key is to monitor and evaluate reports across all channels – internal and external.
  • Regularly review, develop, and implement new strategies to optimize marketing spend and performance and meet business goals.
  • Collaborate and support the management team in all divisions to support marketing and event activities.  Participate in management meetings on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external partners and manage any local marketing vendors.
  • Manage domain names and various software subscriptions utilized for marketing.
  • Utilize the highest level of security best practices including using Lastpass for all user logins related to company assets.

You know marketing and love telling stories for a brand you believe in; coupled with measuring the keeping an eye on the budget and can focus on what data driven marketing can do in both a B2B and a B2C service market. You are detail oriented, self-motivated, and comfortable in the day-to-day while still connecting everything to the company strategic goals and long-term growth plan.  You take ownership, but are not a man person show, you are great at motivating others and a strong communicator. Your partners and co-workers trust and respect you because you have clear expectations and are empathetic with their challenges. You lead by example, mentor and have clear expectations.

The key skills and qualities of the Marketing Manager are:

  • Strong marketing strategy skillset including strategic planning, brand building, CRM, funnel marketing and data analysis.
  • Knowledge of ad serving technologies, the latest online advertising concepts and rich media creative.
  • Experience building engaged audiences on social media, email, and other digital channels.
  • Solid knowledge of website and marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Web Trends, SEMrush, or other available and appropriate tools).
  • Ability to reliably commute to the office.
  • Experience working in a service-based industry is required.
  • Previous marketing leadership experience is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Basecamp or similar.
  • Tech savvy in various programs such as funnel marketing, Basecamp, MS 360, Adobe Suite, Social Media,
  • French is an asset but not required.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry a definite plus.

  • Five years marketing experience preferably a service business.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, google analytics and referral marketing.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing priorities.
