Our client is looking for an individual who is extremely interested in generating new business. The Business Development Representative (Lead Generation) involves making cold calls, sending emails, and leading high-level discovery calls with prospects. The goal is to get the potential clients in and arrange for them to have a meeting with the Sales Executive. Your metrics is based on how many meetings are booked with the Sales Executive.

You are a natural in sales and easily develop a rapport to get buy in from you clients. You enjoy doing the front loading of cold calling, sending emails, and looking for potential clients on social media. You have a can-do attitude and don’t easily get discouraged by hearing a “no thank-you” from customers. If anything, it gives you more drive to continue to get better. You are charismatic and have an outstanding personality.
Necessary qualifications include:
- Minimum high school diploma and clear criminal record.
- Commitment to ongoing learning such as General Insurance License, CAIB or CIP.
- 1 year of prospecting and cold calling would be an asset.
- Business-to-business selling experience would be an asset.
- Great communicator – verbal and written.
