Title: Property Claims Leader (Large Loss Claims)
Location: Remote role Anywhere in Canada.
Are you ready to lead a team of skilled examiners and large loss file handlers to drive the performance of our business unit and improve the claims experience for our customers? We are seeking a Senior Claims Leader who is passionate about people, property claims, and continuous improvement.
As the Senior Claims Leader, you will be responsible for leading your team to achieve outstanding customer, people, and financial performance. You will create an environment that empowers your team to do their best work while building their skills to support their career growth.
Your role will be pivotal in identifying and improving system conditions and removing waste work that impact the service for our customers, the environment for our people, and our financial performance. You will develop and enforce claims standards, best practices, and compliance standards to ensure the delivery of quality service.
You will be accountable for all customer outcomes, financial performance, and risk management of large loss files managed within your team. You will leverage your deep technical knowledge to mentor your direct reports, build their capabilities, and provide file authority up to $750,000.
As a leader, you will work collaboratively with other business units or teams to identify gaps, emerging trends, and recommend strategic direction for our team. You will grow and develop a culture of ownership, transparency, inclusion, curiosity, and respect.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous leadership experience in the insurance industry and an understanding of end-to-end large loss property loss claims. You should also possess strong performance management skills, continuous improvement experience, and excellent communication skills to engage and influence others at all levels of the organization.
