Job Summary & Responsibilities

Are you the kind of person that really cares about people? Do you take pride in being involved in one of the most important decisions of your customer’s lives - protecting themselves, their loved ones, and their assets with proper insurance coverage? Do you recognize the uniqueness of each client’s situation and work hard to deliver a level of service that you can be proud of?

You get it. For you it’s not a choice, it’s simply who YOU are.

To you, remarkable customer service is about providing peace of mind by educating customers to understand your professional advice and suggestions. On the flip side, you understand that not everyone eats, sleeps, and breathes insurance and that most people are just trying to get last minute insurance for their new vehicle, save some money on their household budget, or check task off of their list. You never stop trying to make these people smile. Again, it’s who YOU are.

Our insurance team is looking for people like YOU. Not people who are tired of their job, who are grumpy, who don’t like people, who can’t mean deadlines, who are kind of shady, who make lots of mistakes or are stuck in their ways. We want people whose values reflect our own - a brand and reputation First Foundation is proud of. Bonus if you like cupcakes too!

Opportunity to work from Edmonton, Calgary, or remotely for the right candidate.

  • You have a strong interest in the insurance industry

  • You demonstrate an “other-focused” approach to people.
  • You possess better-than-average computer skills - your typing skills up there with the best of them!
  • You are able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • You are detail oriented, organized, and able to multi-task. You understand the significance of these skills.
  • You are able to work at a quick pace under pressure; possess time management skills.
  • You like people and are willing to serve them with a smile, even when conflict arises.
  • Assets include experience with Keal / Vertafore's BMS, Applied Rating Services, (Compuquote), and insurance company portals
