Key Accountabilities

  • Providing friendly and professional service to clients
  • Managing all aspects of an assigned book of business, including renewals, endorsements and remarketing
  • Writing new business through cross selling, up selling and remarketing
  • Function as a front-line underwriter, qualifying, maintaining and promoting sound quality business
  • Utilizing insurer portals, underwriting guidelines and workflow processes daily
  • Maintaining professional business relationships with industry partners
  • Advising on insurance matters, conducting needs assessments and recommending solutions for valued clients


Key Qualifications and Attributes

  • Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario (Valid RIBO License)
  • Minimum 2 years relevant insurance experience with expertise in commercial lines business
  • Working knowledge of company portals and BMS
  • High attention to detail and organization for multi-tasking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster and maintain strong relationships
  • Familiar with underwriting guidelines and workflow processes within a broker environment
  • Effective team player with a strong work ethic and high integrity to also work independently
  • Ability to prioritize and follow-up on pending tasks in a timely manner
  • Ability to write new business as required
  • Proven technology skills (Windows) with experience on Applied TAM & Rating Services (Compu-quote)
