Portfolio Analytics Lead

We are on the hunt for a passionate Portfolio Analytics Lead to join our client's team in Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver. What You’ll Do:

  • Engage & Connect: Regularly engage with internal and external stakeholders, sharing valuable data insights to drive strategic outcomes and foster positive relationships.
  • Data Mastery: Maintain and continuously develop our underwriting and operational data systems.
  • Quality Control: Help create and manage well-structured processes to ensure compliance with internal, legal, and regulatory standards.
  • Audit & Analyze: Develop audit structures, support program audits, and provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Report & Inform: Analyze portfolio data to extract trends and inform underwriting decisions, risk management strategies, and business development opportunities.
  • Program Management: Support and manage programs and Delegated Underwriting Authorities with a focus on driving growth and success.

Who You Are:

  • You have a solid understanding of commercial insurance underwriting variables and KPIs.
  • You bring 5 years of experience in Data/Business Analytics within the Property Casualty Insurance industry.
  • You’re proficient with Microsoft Office tools, especially Power BI and Excel.
  • You have experience with statistical and quantitative analysis.
  • You excel at building and managing relationships with Brokers and MGAs.
  • You’re working towards or have a CIP designation.
  • You possess excellent communication skills and are a critical thinker with strong attention to detail.

Work Environment:

  • Type: Full-time, permanent
  • Location: Calgary, Edmonton or Vancouver with a hybrid in-office/home setup for Calgary residents. 
  • Compensation: Competitive salary with benefits, bonus, and Employee Share Ownership Plan (ESOP)
