Job Description

I am working with a unique brokerage in search of an experienced Manager to lead a Property and Casualty team. This role is fully remote but requires the incumbent to be in Ontario and hold a Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) license. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in either personal lines home and auto insurance, commercial insurance or both. They must also possess the ability to lead and inspire a team while fostering a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation.

Job Title: Manager (Personal lines)

Location: Ontario (Fully Remote)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide effective leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of insurance brokers, ensuring they meet and exceed performance targets, adhere to industry standards, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Team Development: Foster a culture of professional growth, knowledge enhancement, and skill development among team members. Support ongoing training and development initiatives.
  • Client Relations: Maintain and develop strong relationships with clients, ensuring their insurance needs are met and that the brokerage delivers the highest level of customer service.
  • Workflow Management: Oversee day-to-day operations, including onboarding, policy issuance, renewals, and claims processing, to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Personal Lines Expertise: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of personal lines home and auto insurance to guide the team in servicing their clients to the best of their abilities.
  • Commercial Insurance (Preferred): While not mandatory, experience in commercial insurance is a plus, as it can provide valuable insights and support for clients with diverse needs.
  • Adaptability: Be open to learning and adapting to new technologies, processes, and industry changes to keep the brokerage efficient.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment where team members feel comfortable sharing ideas, feedback, and solutions to improve the brokerage's operations and service quality.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario (RIBO) License is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in managing a team of insurance professionals.
  • Strong background in personal lines home and auto insurance.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance (preferred).
  • Familiarity with EPIC insurance management software (preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Open-minded, approachable, and receptive to new ideas.
  • Ability to work remotely and independently while maintaining team cohesion.
