Job Description

Our client is a leading insurer looking to add a supervisor to their growing team in personal lines.  

 What you will be doing:   

  • Lead and mentor a personal lines underwriting team through coaching and performance management 
  • Ensure adherence to underwriting policies, procedures, and guidelines 
  • Participate in strategic planning, goal setting, and reviews 
  • Identify development opportunities and provide support to team members 
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders 
  • Collaborate with management on underwriting and staffing decisions 
  • Drive continuous improvement and change initiatives 
  • Review and provide feedback on complex underwriting decisions 

What we are looking for:  

  • 5+ years P&C experience 
  • Post-secondary education or equivalent business experience 
  • Prior leadership experience is a strong asset 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 
  • Ability to adapt to change and perform under pressure 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
