Job Description
Our client is a leading insurer looking to add a supervisor to their growing team in personal lines.
What you will be doing:
- Lead and mentor a personal lines underwriting team through coaching and performance management
- Ensure adherence to underwriting policies, procedures, and guidelines
- Participate in strategic planning, goal setting, and reviews
- Identify development opportunities and provide support to team members
- Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with management on underwriting and staffing decisions
- Drive continuous improvement and change initiatives
- Review and provide feedback on complex underwriting decisions
What we are looking for:
- 5+ years P&C experience
- Post-secondary education or equivalent business experience
- Prior leadership experience is a strong asset
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to adapt to change and perform under pressure
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
