Job Description
Our client is seeking an experienced underwriter to join their Auto Underwriting Team! The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years of experience as auto or persona lines underwriter, and a BC General Insurance Level 2 license is preferred.
Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid)
Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist the Auto Team Leader and Underwriting Manager with special projects to help with the performance of the auto team
- Provide binding approval to auto underwriters within the senior binding authority
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) for auto development projects as needed
- Assist with the daily renewal decline list to underwriting support
- Understand underwriting business rules and guidelines, communicating these internally and with brokers
- Participate in company or industry functions to strengthen broker relationships
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as an auto or personal lines underwriter
- Level 2 General Insurance License is strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge in auto insurance
- Team player with strong organizational and time management skills
