Personal Lines Team Lead – Calgary

We are partnering with one of Calgary’s fastest-growing brokerages, achieving over 35% growth last year. They provide customized, comprehensive insurance solutions to clients across multiple lines of business. Our client is looking for a Personal Lines Team Lead to manage a team of 3–4 account managers and contribute to the continued success of their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a book of personal lines business, focusing on retention, profitability, and growth

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of account managers to ensure high-quality service and achievement of performance goals

  • Act as a liaison between producers and the team, fostering effective communication and collaboration

  • Handle complex or escalated client inquiries, providing solutions and advice

  • Maintain and update client records and policies in EPIC or a similar broker management system

  • Monitor and report on key metrics and personal lines market trends

  • Stay current with industry best practices, regulations, and products

  • Participate in training and development initiatives

  • Deliver and analyze system reporting for leadership

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years’ personal lines insurance experience in a brokerage environment 

  • Valid Level 2 General Insurance License in Alberta

  • Experience leading or mentoring account managers (formal title not required)

  • Familiarity with EPIC or similar broker management systems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
