Job Description

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking an Associate Vice President, Regional Operations to oversee branch operations across a multi-location regional platform. This role combines leadership of branch and business line leaders with a strong operational mandate focused on workflow improvement, efficiency, employee engagement, client retention, and overall branch performance.

This is not a purely people-leadership role. The successful candidate will be expected to lead leaders while also helping improve how work moves through the business, supporting frontline teams, strengthening service delivery, and ensuring operational processes align with client and compliance requirements.

The Employer

Our client is a well-established insurance organization with a significant regional presence and a strong commitment to operational excellence, client service, and team development. This role sits within the senior leadership group and offers the opportunity to influence branch performance, talent development, and regional operating effectiveness across multiple locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership across multiple branch locations and lines of business within the region.

  • Lead, coach, and develop Branch Managers and business line leaders, building leadership capability and bench strength.

  • Create and support a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, efficiency, and service excellence.

  • Monitor and improve branch performance related to growth, retention, revenue, profitability, efficiency, employee engagement, and client satisfaction.

  • Review branch results and performance metrics with leadership on a regular basis.

  • Identify workflow challenges, operational barriers, and process inefficiencies, particularly within frontline and personal lines environments.

  • Partner with senior leaders to improve workflows, support frontline teams, and create processes that enhance effectiveness while maintaining compliance standards.

  • Support recruitment efforts and ensure branches are appropriately staffed to meet client needs and profitability goals.

  • Promote collaboration across branches, departments, and functions to improve consistency and overall operational performance.

  • Work closely with leaders across Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, Private Client, Employee Benefits, and Sales to strengthen cross-functional teamwork.

  • Support client retention efforts by understanding drivers of lost business and addressing operational issues that may impact service delivery.

  • Ensure receivables and endorsements are tracked and managed appropriately.

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to both new and established insurance teams to support performance goals and annual objectives.

  • Assist in the development of sales and retention goals, training initiatives, and broader operational improvement strategies.

  • Support regional integration initiatives and operational aspects of acquisition integration, as required.

  • Maintain regular presence within major branch locations and travel within the broader region as needed.

  • Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to maintain credentials in good standing.

  • Carry out additional leadership responsibilities as assigned.
