Frost Insurance roots date back to 1906 and got its name when it was acquired by the late Honorable Premier Leslie Frost. Similarly, Whetter Oaklin traces its roots back to 1926 when William Whetter in Lorneville Ontario founded it, and both have been insuring families and businesses across Ontario ever since.

KRGInsure Peterborough (formerly FWOInsure) has a history dating back to 1858, when the founder Senator George Cox formed the Company. The name has changed through the years, and Ted Topping owned and operated the brokerage up until his retirement on April 30, 2016.
KRGInsure Peterborough became part of the RRJ Insurance Group on May 1, 2016, joining a group of brokerages serving communities in Toronto, Orillia, Lindsay, Oshawa and Kitchener.
