Our client is looking for an Underwriting Specialist to draw from their strong portfolio management skills and their underwriting experience to lead and motivate others through underwriting best practices.

You will be responsible for supporting the formulation, preparation and maintenance of policy wordings, guidelines and on-line underwriting manuals and resource tools. You will also support the development of new Property and Casualty products. You can lead or participate in underwriting audits and ensure action plans are put in place to address any issues identified.
Necessary qualifications include:
- 10+ years of commercial underwriting with 5 being at a senior or specialist level.
- CIP or FCIP
- Strong analytical skills and an understanding of portfolio analysis metrics
- Experience training, mentoring, and coaching staff
- Experience in multi-line and/or property/inland marine underwriting an asset.
- Bilingualism in French and English is a bonus too.
