The Opportunity
A well-established, boutique insurance brokerage in Calgary is seeking a Commercial Insurance Advisor to support and manage a book of small commercial and IBU-focused accounts.
This role is suited for someone who values relationship-driven insurance, consistency, and long-term client retention over high-volume transactional work. The successful candidate will primarily handle smaller commercial accounts with training available for those who are earlier in their commercial career.

What You’ll Be Doing

Manage and service a book of small commercial insurance accounts

Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing consistent and proactive service

Handle renewals, endorsements, coverage reviews, and day-to-day client inquiries

Work closely with internal admin staff and an in-house underwriting resource for support

Market and place business with multiple insurers and portals

Build strong, long-term client relationships in a referral-driven environment

Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented office culture
Compensation

Base salary: Flexible and dependent on experience

What We’re Looking For

1-5 years of brokerage experience in commercial lines (Level II preferred; Level I considered)

Familiarity working with multiple insurers and policy types

Comfortable handling smaller commercial risks; no fleets or large complex accounts

Strong communication, organization, and relationship management skills

Willingness to work fully in-office as part of a close-knit team

Experience with broker management systems and Microsoft Office (specific systems can be learned)
