Our client is a major player in property and casualty insurance, serving both individuals and businesses. Experiencing rapid growth, they need insurance professionals like you to join a dynamic team at their office in Saint-Hyacinthe.
As a Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter, you will work in a comfortable call center environment. You understand the importance of being the first point of contact when needed. You take pride in knowing how and when to provide assistance and solutions to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
What we offer:
Permanent position
A starting base salary of $55,000 and up, negotiable based on experience
An annual bonus of 6.5%
Work-life balance
Full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, daytime hours. Flexible hours based on business hours: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What you bring:
You will be responsible for evaluating and underwriting commercial insurance applications, adhering to underwriting and pricing policies.
You will issue new policies, renewals, and amendments.
You will analyze risks to accept, modify, or reject proposals.
You will answer agent questions and suggest alternative solutions.
You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of commercial insurance underwriting.
Who are you?
You have at least 3 years of experience in commercial insurance underwriting, particularly in agricultural insurance.
You have a reliable internet connection at home to ensure your voice is heard. You learn quickly, have strong analytical skills, and are self-motivated.
